Terra Incognita

from Felix Stridde

Working in the garden. Walking in the forest. Endless days that pass in the blink of an eye. Then a glass of rosé.

Laughing, dancing, dreaming - the search for one's own place in the world; even in tears. Fitting in and adapting to both the community and the environment. Above all, Barbazan is intense. Challenging and liberating at the same time.

The names of the countless plants that thrive there - certainly not the sole soundtrack of nature; sounds of the night. To get away.

And yet:

The global problems arae everywhere here too, permeating all thoughts and actions. Drought becomes concrete. Irrigation of the large neighboring fields is a welcome relief in the hot summer, but at what cost?

When Lisa and Andy decided to move to an old farm in the south of France, I would never have imagined how much their decision would influence me as well. This project challenges everyone involved. The documentation is therefore fragmentary and random. An attempt to capture what is happening there.
